Ascorbic acid-mediated Fe/Cu nanoparticles and their application for removal of COD and phenols from industrial wastewater

This study reports the economic and environmentally friendly synthesis of iron copper nanoparticles, which have been proven effective in removing phenols from industrial wastewaters and reducing chemical oxygen demand.

Adsorption, kinetics and thermodynamics studies of methyl orange dye sequestration through chitosan composites films

Summary: Different films containing pure chitosan and chitosan-coated zeolites were used for the sequestration of methyl orange dye. Results showed that CSZ3 had the highest adsorption capacity while CSZ4 had the lowest. Various analysis methods such as multilayer adsorption and pseudo-second order kinetics were used to explore the adsorption kinetics, equilibrium, and thermodynamics of the dye.
