Spray pyrolysis synthesis of mesoporous γ-AlOOH and γ-Al2O3 microspheres and their properties for Cr (VI) adsorption

Vo The Ky

Summary: In this study, mesoporous spherical gamma-AlOOH and gamma-Al2O3 particles were prepared using spray pyrolysis without the use of template materials. The particles exhibited excellent adsorption performance towards Cr6+. The study provides a facile, rapid, and scalable approach for improving Cr(VI) adsorption.

Research progress of CO2 oxidative dehydrogenation of propane to propylene over Cr-free metal catalysts

Zhong-Yu Wang et al.

Summary: CO2-ODHP is an attractive strategy for reducing CO2 emissions and offsetting the propylene demand gap. The introduction of CO2 improves the stability of oxidation active sites, increases propane conversion, and extends the catalyst's lifetime. However, the development of environmentally friendly and chromium-free catalysts remains challenging.

Low-temperature NH3-SCR of NOx over MnCeOx/TiO2 catalyst: Enhanced activity and SO2 tolerance by modifying TiO2 with Al2O3

Gang Li et al.

Summary: A series of TiO2-Al2O3 composites were synthesized and used as supports for MnCeOx catalysts, with MnCeOx/TiO2-Al2O3 showing higher activity and better tolerance. This is attributed to higher concentrations of Mn4+ and chemisorbed oxygen species, stronger reducibility, and larger adsorption capacity.

Recent progress in structural modulation of metal nanomaterials for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction

Chen-Huai Yang et al.

Summary: Metal nanomaterials have been widely used as electrocatalysts for ECR, and structural modulation including size, facet, grain boundary, composition, interface, ligand modification, and crystal phase can effectively improve catalytic performance. Designing stable and efficient catalysts is crucial for the electrochemical reduction of CO2 into high value-added products.

Striking luminescence phenomena of carbon dots and their applications as a double ratiometric fluorescence probes for H2S detection

Yang Xu et al.

Summary: In this study, carbon dots passivated with polyethylene glycol were explored as a highly sensitive H2S detection probe, exhibiting different luminescent properties when excited at different wavelengths. The interaction of Na2S with CDs led to a linear increase in blue emission at 455 nm. The method showed excellent linear relationships and low detection limits, making it a promising approach for sensitive H2S detection and bioimaging applications.

Preparation of Carbon-Covered Phosphorus-Modified Alumina with Large Pore Size and Adsorption of Rhodamine B

Shuaiqi Chen et al.

Summary: Phosphorus-modified alumina with large pores was synthesized using a coprecipitation method and further enhanced by impregnating with glucose and carbonizing. The carbon-covered, phosphorus-modified alumina showed improved adsorption capacity for Rhodamine B, attributed to its similar pore structures with alumina and specific properties of carbon materials. The study indicates that the prepared nanomaterials are promising candidates for efficient adsorption of toxic dyes.
