Identifying patient-specific behaviors to understand illness trajectories and predict relapses in bipolar disorder using passive sensing and deep anomaly detection: protocol for a contactless cohort study

Abigail Ortiz et al.

Summary: This study aims to extract and interpret individual illness trajectories and patterns suggestive of relapse in bipolar disorder (BD) using passive sensing, nonlinear techniques, and deep anomaly detection. A contactless cohort study will be conducted with 200 adult BD patients, who will be monitored continuously for up to 2 years using a wearable device that collects physiological and objective data. The data will be analyzed using nonlinear techniques and deep anomaly detection to forecast episodes of illness.
