Acrylamide-modified polyvinyl alcohol and combined with graphene oxide for low dielectric constant composite films

Pan Tian et al.

Summary: In this study, a novel structure optimization approach was proposed to develop a composite film with high transparency and low dielectric loss by designing a reaction between PVA and acrylamide. The introduction of acrylamide increased the strength of the film and the low dipole groups reduced its dielectric constant. Moreover, the addition of graphene oxide further enhanced the strength of the film. The obtained composite film showed superior tensile strength, dielectric constant, and dielectric loss compared to pure PVA and PVA/GO composite films reported in previous literature. It has great potential in the field of dielectric materials for high-frequency communication.

Epoxy/benzoxazinylPOSSnanocomposite resin with low dielectric constant and excellent thermal stability

Xiaodan Li et al.

Summary: BZPOSS is successfully synthesized and used to prepare nanocomposites with E51, showing high catalytic activity and reducing dielectric constant. The thermal stability and heat resistance of poly(E51/BZPOSS)s at high temperature increased with the increase of BZPOSS, due to the increase of crosslinking density and change of crosslinking structure.

Fast Hydrolytically Degradable 3D Printed Object Based on Aliphatic Polycarbonate Thiol-Yne Photoresins

Yimei Wu et al.

Summary: This study introduces a new thiol-yne photoresin formulation that enables fast hydrolytic degradation of 3D printed objects, applied successfully in high-resolution 3D printing. By incorporating aliphatic polycarbonate alkyne components and ester thiols, the ability to rapidly hydrolyze 3D printed objects is enhanced.

Analysis of Acrylic and Methacrylic Networks through Pyrolysis-GC/MS

Zakaria Belbakra et al.

Summary: A direct analytical method using multi-step pyrolysis-GC/MS was developed to characterize UV-cured networks, with a focus on (meth)acrylate-based systems. The technique revealed a clear reversion process of methacrylates during pyrolysis, while the decomposition of acrylates in high molecular weight degradation products was not easily detected. The potential impact of this method on elucidating the structural and compositional nature of UV-cured polymeric networks was emphasized.

Synthesis of tetraallylated cystamine and the study of its performance as a curing agent for the epoxy/thiol-ene photopolymerization of biobased nopol epoxy resins

Ricardo Acosta Ortiz et al.

Summary: This study reports the synthesis of a bio-inspired curing agent TAC and evaluates its performance in two epoxy resins using the epoxy/thiol-ene photopolymerization technique. The results show that TAC can achieve cross-linked co-networks of the polyether-polythioether type, with one epoxy resin displaying higher reactivity, modulus, and thermal stability.
