The effect of rainfall changes on economic production

Summary: This study analyzes the relationship between economic output and rainfall in 1,554 regions worldwide over the past 40 years. The findings suggest that increases in the number of wet days and extreme daily rainfall have a negative impact on economic growth rates. High-income nations and the services and manufacturing sectors are most affected.
