Dy3+ ion as optical probe to study the luminescence behavior of Alkali lead bismuth borate glasses for w-LED application

R. Divina et al.

Summary: A series of Dy3+ ions doped alkali lead bismuth borate glasses with different modifiers were synthesized and analyzed for their potential in photonic applications. Structural differences in the host network were shown when different modifiers were introduced. The glasses exhibited amorphous nature and absorption of Dy3+ ions to different excited states.

Effect of Fe2O3 doping on structural, FTIR and radiation shielding characteristics of aluminium-lead-borate glasses

Badriah Albarzan et al.

Summary: In this study, glasses with varying Fe2O3 content were prepared using the conventional melt quenching method, and their amorphous state was investigated using X-ray diffraction and FTIR. It was found that increasing Fe2O3 levels led to enhanced connectivity in the glasses. Additionally, the radiation protection parameters of the fabricated glasses were simulated using the MCNP5 code.
