Cultural diversity in top management teams: Review and agenda for future research

Summary: Despite the increasing social relevance, research on cultural diversity in top management teams (TMTs) is scarce and fragmented. This study reviews and synthesizes 106 key articles published between 1997 and 2021 to provide a comprehensive field map on the antecedents and influence of TMT cultural diversity. The findings show that cultural diversity is a distinct and important aspect of TMT diversity, with significant implications for various outcomes. Critical assessment of the field identifies key research gaps and promising areas for future studies.

Perceptions of values over time and why they matter
