Mindfulness Meditation Leads To Increased Dispositional Mindfulness And Interoceptive Awareness Linked To A Reduced Dissociative Tendency

Summary: The 7-week Mindfulness Oriented Meditation training showed positive effects on healthy individuals' self-reported dissociative experiences, mindfulness skills, and interoceptive awareness. Participants in the MOM group exhibited reduced dissociative tendencies, increased dispositional mindfulness, and enhanced interoceptive awareness. Furthermore, the more participants improved in mindfulness skills, the more they reported increased interoceptive awareness and decreased dissociative functioning.
