In this study, we analyze weak decays of the triply heavy baryon Omega(++)(ccc) and calculate the form factors for Omega(++)(ccc)-> Xi(++)(cc) / Omega(+)(cc) transitions using a light front quark model. We predict the decay branching fractions for semi-leptonic decays and investigate forward-backward asymmetry and angular distributions. We also estimate the branching fractions for a few color-allowed processes and highlight the importance of the Omega(++)(ccc)-> Omega(+)(cc)pi(+) channel for the discovery of Omega(++)(ccc). This analysis provides a useful reference for future experimental searches.
We analyze weak decays of triply heavy baryon Omega(++)(ccc) and calculate the form factors for Omega(++ )(ccc)-> Xi(++)(cc) / Omega(+)(cc)transitions in a light front quark model. The momentum distributions in form factors are accessed via the pole-model parametrization. Using the results for form factors, we predict decay branching fractions for semi-leptonic decays, and obtain B(Omega(++ )(ccc)-> Xi(+)(cc)e(+)v(e)) = 0.08%, B(Omega(++)(ccc)-> Omega(+)(cc)e(+)v(e)) = 1.23%. Forward-backward asymmetry and angular distributions are then investigated in this work. We also estimate branching fractions for a few color-allowed processes and find that the Omega(++)(ccc)-> Omega(+)(cc)pi(+) has a sizable branching fraction: B(Omega(++)(ccc)-> Omega(+)(cc)pi(+)) =1.82%. We point out that the Omega(++)(ccc)-> Omega(+)(cc)pi(+) is a golden channel for the discovery of the Omega(++)(ccc). This analysis can provide a useful reference for future experimental search in future. (C) 2022 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier B.V.
