In this work, we predict the light hadronic decay channels Y(4230) -> Lambda(Lambda) over bar and Xi(-) (Xi) over bar (+) when treating the Y(4230) as a vector charmonium state. The branching ratios of the Y(4230) -> Lambda(Lambda) over bar and Xi(-) (Xi) over bar (+) processes are calculated using the hadronic loop mechanism. Additionally, the possibility of searching for the signal of the Y(4230) through Lambda(Lambda) over bar and Xi(-) (Xi) over bar (+) channels from e(+)e(-) annihilation is discussed.
