Correlation-driven electronic reconstruction in FeTe1-xSex

Jianwei Huang et al.

Summary: The underlying mechanism of iron-based superconductivity and the role of electron correlations have been debated since their discovery. This study uses angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy to investigate the Fermi surface reconstruction in FeTe1-xSex and provides evidence for an orbital-selective Mott transition driven by orbital-dependent correlation effects.

Eliminating Orbital Selectivity from the Metal-Insulator Transition by Strong Magnetic Fluctuations

Evgeny A. Stepanov

Summary: This study investigates the impact of spatial collective electronic fluctuations on orbital-selective Mott transition (OSMT). It is found that strong magnetic fluctuations inherent in the system prevent the OSMT and favor the Ne 'el transition occurring at the same critical temperature for both orbitals.

Improved estimator for numerical renormalization group calculations of the self-energy

Fabian B. Kugler

Summary: This article presents a new estimator for the self-energy in numerical renormalization group (NRG) calculations. The new estimator resolves the artifacts caused by the standard estimator in challenging regimes, resulting in more accurate and converged results with reduced numerical effort. This finding is highly valuable for applying NRG to multiorbital systems.

Orbital-selective Mott phase and non-Fermi liquid in FePS3

Minsung Kim et al.

Summary: This study theoretically investigates the phase transitions of layered metal phosphorous trisulfide FePS3 and finds that the Mott transition can be orbital selective. Under nonhydrostatic pressure, the t(2g) states undergo an insulator-metal transition while the e(g) states remain gapped. Increasing pressure further leads to crystal-field splitting and converts the system to a conventional Fermi liquid.
