Appendix around Ileocolic Intussusception with Acute Appendicitis: A Rare Presentation

Reddy Ravikanth

Summary: Intussusception and appendicitis have similar clinical features, but their concurrent occurrence is extremely rare. In cases of ileocolic intussusception where the appendix is not visualized on high-resolution ultrasonography, appendiceal involvement must be ruled out. This case report describes the sonological appearance of simultaneous ileocolic intussusception and acute appendicitis in a 4-year-old child.
