Systematic analysis of the expression and prognosis relevance of FBXO family reveals the significance of FBXO1 in human breast cancer

Yaqian Liu et al.

Summary: This study explored the roles of 10 FBXO members in breast cancer. Some FBXOs were identified as potential favorable prognostic factors, while others were associated with poor prognosis. Knockdown of FBXO1 led to decreased cell proliferation and migration in breast cancer cell lines, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target. Overall, FBXO1 and other member genes may serve as clinical targets and prognostic markers for different molecular subtypes of breast cancer.

Downregulation of the FBXO43 gene inhibits tumor growth in human breast cancer by limiting its interaction with PCNA

Rulan Ma et al.

Summary: The study revealed that FBXO43 is highly expressed in breast cancer and its knockdown inhibits proliferation, migration, and invasion of BC cells, inducing apoptosis. The results indicated that FBXO43 interacts with PCNA to influence the growth of BC cells.

F-box proteins in cancer stemness: An emerging prognostic and therapeutic target

Abdul Q. Khan et al.

Summary: Cancer is a complex disease with therapeutic challenges, and cancer stem cells play a crucial role in tumor growth, progression, and resistance. Understanding how cancer-initiating cells acquire stemness features and targeting F-box proteins for selective elimination of cancer stem cells are important strategies in cancer therapy.
