Large Group Delay in Silicon-on-Insulator Chirped Spiral Bragg Grating Waveguide

Summary: This paper proposes a multi-mode waveguide and chirped spiral Bragg grating waveguide based on silicon-on-insulator (SOI), effectively solving the problem of large transmission loss in long length chirped grating waveguides. Through experimental verification, the length of the chirped SBGW reaches 2.7 cm with a small structure size and good dispersion characteristics, suitable for microwave photonics applications requiring dispersion control.
