Determination of anxiety levels and perspectives on the nursing profession among candidate nurses with relation to the COVID-19 pandemic

Summary: The study found that the number of nursing students with positive attitudes towards the nursing profession decreased before the COVID-19 pandemic, while those with negative and undecided attitudes increased. Anxiety levels significantly increased in students with negative attitudes who were unwilling to practice nursing in the future.

Teaching Guided Imagery and Relaxation Techniques in Undergraduate Nursing Education

Summary: Guided imagery and relaxation techniques have positive effects on undergraduate nursing students, as shown in this study where students reported satisfaction with the course format and personal benefits, and expressed increased likelihood of using these skills with clients. However, students still showed a lack of confidence in using the techniques with clients, preferring personal instruction for better satisfaction and value of experience in applying these skills with patients.
