Reset control for consensus of double-integrator multi-agent systems

Wenfeng Hu et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the consensus problem for double-integrator multi-agent systems with a novel reset control protocol, revealing the conditions under which consensus is achieved and the role of the reset function. The proposed reset control provides a dynamically generated higher gain for better transient consensus performance.

Guaranteed cost positive consensus for multi-agent systems with multiple time-varying delays and MDADT switching

Xiangyang Cao et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the guaranteed cost positive consensus for linear multi-agent systems (MASs) with multiple time-varying delays and switching topologies. The positive consensus criterion and switching signals are derived by combining multiple Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals with mode-dependent average dwell time approaches. It realizes a trade-off between the consensus regulation performance and the control energy consumption of MASs.

Cooperative Output Tracking of Unknown Heterogeneous Linear Systems by Distributed Event-Triggered Adaptive Control

Ruohan Yang et al.

Summary: This article addresses the cooperative output tracking problem of a class of linear minimum-phase multiagent systems with unknown and heterogeneous agent dynamics. A distributed event-triggered model reference adaptive control strategy is developed, which ensures synchronization of outputs among all agents to the leader's output while excluding Zeno behavior. The proposed adaptive control strategy is fully distributed and does not require any prior global information.

Cluster partitioning of heterogeneous multi-agent systems

Mattia Mattioni et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the collective behaviors induced by the network interconnection of heterogeneous input-affine single-input nonlinear systems through a constant but general directed graph. It is proved that the dynamics of all agents cluster into subgroups corresponding to the number of cells in the almost equitable partition induced by the communication graph. All agents belonging to the same cell are equally influenced by a new mean-field dynamics which is typical of the network. The results are illustrated through simulations of a network of pendula.

Event-Triggered Robust Control for Output Consensus of Unknown Discrete-Time Multiagent Systems With Unmodeled Dynamics

Ruohan Yang et al.

Summary: This article investigates the event-triggered output consensus problem for a class of unknown heterogeneous discrete-time linear multiagent systems in the presence of unmodeled dynamics. A novel design framework is developed based on an event-triggered internal reference model and a distributed model reference adaptive controller. The proposed framework is able to deal with agents with individual unknown nominal dynamics and unmodeled dynamics, and it is fully distributed without the need for any global information.

Consensus of heterogeneous discrete-time multi-agent systems with noise over Markov switching topologies

Fenglan Sun et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the mean-square bounded consensus of heterogeneous multi-agent systems with noise over fixed and Markov switching topologies. Sufficient conditions for the consensus are derived by designing a protocol based on neighbor information, using Lyapunov function method, matrix analysis and probability theory. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the potential correctness of the findings.

Hybrid consensus for multi-agent systems with time-driven jumps

Andrea Cristofaro et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the behavior of scalar multi-agent systems over networks subject to time-driven jumps. The asymptotic multi-consensus behavior of the hybrid network is explicitly characterized, with no assumption on the underlying digraphs introduced. The coupling rules making the multi-consensus subspace attractive are established, and theoretical results are illustrated through simulation examples.

Adaptive bipartite output consensus for heterogeneous multi-agent systems with quantized information: A fixed-time approach

Xisheng Zhan et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the output consensus problem of heterogeneous linear multi-agent systems and proposes two fixed-time state compensator control approaches. A fixed-time output regulation control protocol is constructed to deal with the output consensus problem of heterogeneous systems, which is fully distributed without any global information. The fully distributed adaptive algorithm is employed to calculate the system matrix of leader and effectively eliminate harmful chattering.
