In recent years, there has been a rapid expansion of clinical trials on neoadjuvant therapy for melanoma. Preliminary data has shown the prognostic value of pathological response, which could have clinical implications on refining the roles of surgery and adjuvant therapy. These clinical questions are currently being actively investigated in numerous ongoing clinical trials.
