Platinum Janus Nanoparticles as Peroxidase Mimics for Catalytic Immunosorbent Assay

Lei Li et al.

Summary: In this study, highly efficient peroxidase mimic nanoparticles, called Pt Janus NPs, were developed. Pt Janus NPs demonstrated significantly improved catalytic efficiency compared to traditional Pt nanoparticles and HRP. The silica component in Pt Janus NPs effectively adsorbed intermediates during the catalysis process, leading to enhanced catalytic efficiency. Additionally, the unique structure of Pt Janus NPs protected catalytic sites, further enhancing catalytic efficiency. Pt Janus NPs also exhibited a high signal strength in direct immunoassay.

Self-enhancement photoelectrochemical strategy for kanamycin determination with amino functionalized MOFs

Yang Wang et al.

Summary: Based on the self-enhanced photoelectrochemical quality of Cu-MOF-NH2, a photoelectrochemical biosensor for kanamycin detection was developed. The biosensor exploited the low electron hole recombination rate of Cu-MOF-NH2 and achieved self-enhancement through the oxidation of kanamycin by the amino group in Cu-MOF-NH2. The sensor showed a dynamic monitoring range of 0.5 to 650 nM and a detection limit of 0.1 nM. It demonstrated successful application in the determination of kanamycin in fish samples.

Prediction Descriptor for Catalytic Activity of Platinum Nanoparticles/Metal-Organic Framework Composites

Peishan Qin et al.

Summary: It is discovered that transition-metal clusters in metal-organic frameworks can regulate the surface electronic status of supported platinum nanoparticles, influencing catalytic activity. The number of electrons in the outmost d orbitals of transition-metal species correlates strongly with the catalytic activity of Pt/MOF composites, serving as a potential predictor for hydrogenation performance.
