This paper proposes a pixel-based grain boundary extraction method to solve the problems of grain boundary fracture and pseudo-grain boundary. By rough extraction and information extraction based on pixel relationship, the proposed method can obtain complete and continuous grain boundaries with high accuracy and versatility.
A grain boundary extraction method based on pixel relationship is proposed to solve the problems of grain boundary fracture and pseudo-grain boundary. Under the influence of light and sampling equipment, some grain boundaries in the image disappear, and the grain boundary extraction results are broken and discontinuous in the process of preparing metallographic microscopic image. A method is proposed, which extracts the grain boundary roughly, reconstructs the grain boundary region according to the needs of coarse extraction grain boundary location and extracts the grain boundary information according to the pixel relationship. The exper-imental results show that this method can obtain complete and continuous grain boundaries, it has the advan-tages of high extraction accuracy and versatility.
