Electrostatically Coupled Nanostructured Co(OH)2-MoS2 Heterostructures for Enhanced Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution

Naduvile Purayil Dileep et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated a synergistic nanostructured two-dimensional heterostructure formed by electrochemically exfoliated Co(OH)(2) and chemically derived 1T-MoS2, which greatly improved the HER activity in alkaline media. The Co(OH)(2)/1T-MoS2 heterostructure achieved a remarkably low overpotential and high Tafel slope in alkaline media, with a substantial increase in overpotential compared to the individual MoS2 component.

Voltammetric determination of hydrogen peroxide using MoS2 modified glassy carbon electrodes

V. S. Haritha et al.

Summary: The facile synthesis of MoS2 microspheres and the construction of MoS2/glassy carbon electrodes for precise detection of hydrogen peroxide were reported. The MoS2-modified GCE displayed superior electrocatalytic reduction of H2O2 due to its high surface area and good electrical conductivity. The MoS2/GCE sensor exhibited high sensitivity, linearity in detection, and low detection and quantification limits.
