The Study on Microstructural Evolution During Post-processing of Additively Manufactured Ti64

Bryan Naab et al.

Summary: The evolution of microstructure in Ti-6Al-4V alloy produced via selective laser melting (SLM) was studied after furnace heat treatments to 850 degrees C. The heat-treated microstructure showed the formation of α-martensite laths with a thickness of around 1.8 μm and the presence of β-phase based on XRD analysis.
