A strategy for preparing MOF-808-loaded polypropylene nonwoven fabrics mediated by a TA-APTES hybrid coating was reported. The resulting fabric exhibited a rapid catalytic degradation rate for DMNP in a basic buffered condition.
Zirconium-based metal-organic frameworks (Zr-MOFs) have emerged as promising candidates for the catalyzed hydrolysis of nerve agents, but facile methods for their integration into textiles are still lacking. Herein, we report a strategy for the preparation of MOF-808-loaded polypropylene (PP) nonwoven fabrics mediated by a tannic acid (TA) and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) hybrid coating (TA-APTES). The as-prepared PP nonwoven fabric displayed a rapid catalytic degradation rate for dimethyl p-nitrophenyl phosphate (DMNP) with a half-life of 1.3 min in a basic buffered condition.
