Precipitation behavior of an Al-Cu-Li-X alloy and competing relationships among precipitates at different aging temperatures

Summary: This study investigates the precipitation behavior of Al-Cu-Li-X alloys during aging treatment, focusing on the T1 phase which plays a decisive role in influencing the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy. The results show that the alloy exhibits different precipitation characteristics at various temperatures, and the temperature influences the precipitation behavior through its effect on the nucleation of the T1 phase.
