Ionic crosslinked polymer as protective layer in electrochromic supercapacitors for improved electrochemical stability and ion transmission performance

Summary: Using a solution-processable crosslinked polymer as a protective layer between the electrode and electrolyte can significantly enhance the stability and ion transport performance of electrochromic supercapacitors. Experimental results show that the protective layer can improve electrochemical stability and increase activation, especially the one with TFSI- as the counter anion.
