However, while HA results decreased over time, BMAC presented more durable effects in mild OA knees.

Summary: The study compared the clinical effects of single intra-articular injection with or without intra-osseous injections of PRP in the treatment of OA knee. Both groups showed significant improvement in pain relief and functional improvement. However, intra-osseous PRP injections did not provide any additional benefit over intra-articular PRP injection until six months. The combination injection also led to more adverse events.
