Repeatable Photoinduced Insulator-to-Metal Transition in YttriumOxyhydride Epitaxial Thin Films

Yuya Komatsu et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates a highly repeatable photoinduced insulator-to-metal transition in yttrium oxyhydride (YOxHy) thin films, and indicates that tuning the site occupancy of hydrogen atoms exerts a significant effect on the photoresponse of metal hydrides.

Installation of TOF-E telescope ERDA in UTTAC at the University of Tsukuba: Analysis of metal-nitride-based multi-layer coatings on glasses

Y. Sugisawa et al.

Summary: This study presents the development of a TOF-E telescope for ERDA at the University of Tsukuba, confirming quantification and mass resolution for light elements. The newly developed system is compared with an existing Delta E-E telescope ERDA system at the University of Tokyo, showing its capability for analyzing thin films. Additionally, the system is used to reveal the relationship between film deposition conditions and contamination on various substrates.

Ammonia Decomposition over CaNH-Supported Ni Catalysts via an NH2--Vacancy-Mediated Mars-van Krevelen Mechanism

Kiya Ogasawara et al.

Summary: Ni-supported CaNH acts as a highly efficient catalyst for ammonia decomposition through an NH2- vacancy-mediated Mars-van Krevelen mechanism, exhibiting much greater activity than other Ni-based catalysts with a 100 degrees C lower operating temperature.
