Local structural investigations of graphitic ZnO and reduced graphene oxide composite

A. K. Yadav et al.

Summary: In this study, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) assisted two-dimensional graphitic ZnO (gZnO) was prepared and characterized using various techniques, confirming the formation of gZnO/rGO sandwiched layers. The relaxed structures of bilayers of gZnO sandwiched between rGO layers were found to have better stability and electronic structure, as supported by XANES and EXAFS measurements.

A computational study of a chemical gas sensor utilizing Pd-rGO composite on SnO2 thin film for the detection of NOx

S. Akshya et al.

Summary: In this paper, nitrogen oxide gas sensors were designed and simulated using COMSOL Multiphysics software, and the investigation of Pd-rGO composite films on NOx sensing characteristics led to improved response at low temperatures. Optimizing the response to NOx with different active layers, specifically with the integration of Pd/rGO into SnO2 thin film, showed better performance in detecting nitrogen oxides in proportion to power. This advanced research paves the way for constructing portable NOx gas sensors with millimeter size and microwatt power.

Gas sensor based on rGO/ZnO aerogel for efficient detection of NO2 at room temperature

Huijun Gao et al.

Summary: A simple, low-cost hydrothermal method was used to synthesize rGO/ZnO aerogel in one step, which was then prepared into a sensor for NO2 detection. With a large surface area and good response at room temperature, the aerogel shows potential application prospects in the gas sensor field.
