Summary: The size of bioactive glass microspheres has a significant impact on their dissolution characteristics, with smaller microspheres being more inert and larger microspheres developing typical silica-rich and calcium phosphate layers on their surfaces after static and dynamic dissolution.

Summary: Bioactive glass microspheres (BGMs) were successfully produced using the sol-microemulsion-gel method, resulting in uniform and well-rounded microspheres under optimized conditions. Varying the reaction chamber size and stirring rate affected the diameter distribution of the microspheres, with increased stirring rate leading to the generation of smaller microspheres.
