The effect of mechanically milled lead iodide powder on perovskite film morphology

Hassan Elshimy et al.

Summary: Mechanical milling pretreatment is used to obtain nano-sized PbI2 powder, which promotes high-quality CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite films. The quality of PbI2 precursor film significantly affects the morphology and purity of perovskite films. Milling PbI2 powder can result in smaller crystallite size, higher surface area, and better coverage, leading to improved performance of perovskite devices.

Impact of Au nanoparticles on the thermophysicalparameters of Fe3O4 nanoparticles for seawater desalination

M. Nabil et al.

Summary: The impact of gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) on the thermooptical parameters of Fe3O4 (NPs) for seawater desalination cycles was investigated. The addition of AuNPs decreased the optical direct band gap and electronegativity, while increasing the refractive index. The study demonstrated the potential of improving solar thermal conversion efficiency through the combination of morphological and elemental information.

Bilayer number driven changes in polarizability and optical property in ZnO/TiO2 nanocomposite films prepared by ALD

S. S. Fouad et al.

Summary: The optical properties of ZnO/TiO2 bilayer films were studied, revealing a decrease in optical energy gap and direct optical transition with increasing bilayer numbers. A relationship between linear refractive index and optical energy gap was proposed for predicting material properties.

ALD of TiO2/ZnO mutilayers towards the understanding of optical properties and polarizability

S. S. Fouad et al.

Summary: In this study, a comparative analysis of multilayers of TiO2/ZnO thin films grown by atomic layer deposition at 100°C on glass and silicon substrates was conducted. The films were found to be completely amorphous and the band gap energy decreased as the number of layers increased. The relationship between non-linear refractive index and optical energy gap was also explored, revealing a close association with the change in bilayer thickness of the thin TiO2/ZnO films.
