Effect of Gd doping on magnetic and MCE properties of M-type barium hexaferrite

Murli Kumar Manglam et al.

Summary: Gd doped barium hexaferrite was synthesized using the sol-gel method to investigate its magnetic and MCE properties. The materials crystallize to hexagonal magnetoplumbite phase, with average particle size decreasing and magnetic parameters changing significantly with increasing Gd concentration. The study reveals higher saturation magnetization at lower temperatures and opens a window for exploring MCE on BHF based material.

Crystal structure and magnetic properties study on barium hexaferrite of different average crystallite size

Murli Kumar Manglam et al.

Summary: This study explores the relationship between the crystal structure, morphology, and magnetic properties of barium hexaferrite and annealing temperature. The results show that the average crystallite size and particle size increase with annealing temperature, impacting the magnetic properties of the material.

Optimizing the magnetic properties of hard and soft materials for producing exchange spring permanent magnets

Michele Petrecca et al.

Summary: The article discusses the exploitation of exchange coupling between hard and soft magnetic materials to enhance the magnetic performance of rare-earth free permanent magnets. It reports the synthesis of nanometric SFO and zinc-doped ferrite composites through scalable and eco-friendly approaches. Despite promising results in forming exchange coupled composite at 1100 degrees C, there was no improvement in energy product, indicating a need for further experimental efforts.

Crystal structure and magnetic properties study on barium hexaferrite (BHF) and cobalt zinc ferrite (CZF) in composites

Murli Kumar Manglam et al.

Summary: The synthesis of BHF and CZF composites with different weight percentages using a high energy planetary ball mill technique was studied. Characterization techniques such as XRD, FESEM, and EDX were employed to analyze the obtained powders, showing that the saturation magnetization of the composites increases with the concentration of CZF. An interesting magnetic interaction between the two phases was observed at a certain composition, as demonstrated by changes in the hysteresis loops.
