The promotion of TiO2 induction for finely tunable self-crystallized CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br and I) nanocrystal glasses for LED backlighting display

Yao Tong et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized self-crystallized CsPbX3 PNCs glasses with high Photoluminescence quantum yield and found that TiO2 as a nucleating agent can reduce the crystallization temperature and promote controlled nucleation of PNCs. These findings contribute to the understanding of the promoting effect of related nucleating agents on nucleation of PNCs and have significant implications for the synthesis of time-saving, environment-friendly, and low-cost PNCs glasses.

Perovskite Nanocrystals with Tunable Fluorescent Intensity during Anion Exchange for Dynamic Optical Encryption

Yang Liu et al.

Summary: The capping ligands in perovskite nanocrystals play a crucial role in tuning the luminescence intensity. By ion exchange, the luminescence color of PNCs can be shifted from green to yellow, proposing a dynamic optical encryption strategy. The encoded message is hidden in the green pattern, shown during ion exchange, and erased when the pattern turns completely from green to red.

Wenbin Shi et al.

Summary: In this study, highly luminescent and stable CsPbxM1-xX3 NCs were synthesized using a post-processing method. The insertion reaction of cations was promoted during the halogen anion exchange process, leading to improved photoluminescence quantum yields. The PL films prepared with CsPbxZn1-x(Cl/Br)(3), CsPbBr3, and CsPb(Br/I)(3) NCs dispersed in polymethyl methacrylate solutions exhibited bright white emission with high stability when excited by a commercial LED chip.

Controlling the growth of a SiO2 coating on hydrophobic CsPbBr3 nanocrystals towards aqueous transfer and high luminescence

Meng Li et al.

Summary: The successful preparation of CsPbBr3@SiO2 capsules with enhanced stability opens up new possibilities for the development of lead halide perovskite nanomaterials. The SiO2 shell acts as a buffer layer to block direct contact between CsPbBr3 and excess PbBr2 precursor, leading to improved stability in polar solvents and air. The bright green emission observed after 90 days under UV light further highlights the potential of this approach in improving the performance and longevity of these nanomaterials.

CsPbX3 Quantum Dots Embedded in Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-8 Microparticles for Bright White Light-Emitting Devices

Yubin Zhao et al.

Summary: CsPbX3 perovskite quantum dots (QDs) were successfully synthesized in situ within the hole of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) using a mechanical chemical synthesis method without organic solvent addition, improving the stability and resistance to ion exchange of the QDs. The presence of CsPbX3 QDs in the ZIF-8 matrix protected the QDs and prevented luminescence degradation, resulting in narrower emission spectra and stable photoluminescence with high quantum yields. The encapsulation of CsPbX3 QDs in ZIF-8 greatly enhances their stability, making them promising for LED and optoelectronic device applications.
