The Association Between ABO Blood Group and Preeclampsia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Ting Li et al.

Summary: This meta-analysis found a significant association between ABO blood group and the risk of preeclampsia (PE), with pregnant women with AB blood group being more likely to develop PE. The risk of O, A, and B blood groups in relation to PE was not significant. It is suggested that more attention should be paid to pregnant women with AB blood group who have high blood pressure but not enough to diagnose PE.

Human ABO Blood Groups and Their Associations with Different Diseases

Silamlak Birhanu Abegaz

Summary: The ABO blood group has been associated with susceptibility to various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, infections, cognitive disorders, metabolic diseases, and malaria. Different blood types have different risks for developing certain diseases, indicating a genetic link between ABO blood groups and diseases that warrants further investigation on a molecular level.
