Artificial neural networking (ANN) analysis for heat and entropy generation in flow of non-Newtonian fluid between two rotating disks

Tie-Hong Zhao et al.

Summary: Mixed convection is a heat transport mechanism in thermodynamic systems that involves the motion of fluid particles influenced by both gravity and external forces. This study focuses on the mixed convective flow of Ree-Eyring fluid between two rotating disks, considering the effects of porosity and velocity slip. The energy equation is modeled with various factors such as heat generation/absorption, dissipation, radiative heat flux, and Joule heating. The results obtained are compared with previous studies, showing good agreement. Interesting physical phenomena such as skin friction and heat transfer are also numerically calculated.

Application of aluminum nitride nanotubes as a promising nanocarriers for anticancer drug 5-aminosalicylic acid in drug delivery system

Raed Obaid Saleh et al.

Summary: Through density functional theory (DFT), the strong interaction between 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) and aluminum nitride nano-tubes (AlNNTs) was investigated. The adsorption of AlNNTs with the carbonyl group of 5-ASA was found to have a higher adsorption energy, while the interaction with the -OH and -CO2H groups was weak. The adsorption process was spontaneous, and there was a high energy charge transfer between 5-ASA and AlNNTs, leading to a change in energy levels and enhanced electrical conductivity. These results suggest that AlNNTs can be considered as suitable materials for delivering 5-ASA in biological systems.

Molecular dynamics simulation of friction process in atomic structures with spherical nanoparticles

J. S. Xia et al.

Summary: This research investigates the friction process in atomic structures with spherical nanoparticles using the molecular dynamics simulation method. The results show the equilibrium in atomic structures and indicate the proper selection of atomic positions and interatomic interactions in the simulated samples. Also, the study explores the impact of simulation temperature, number of simulated nano particles, and target structure's velocity on the friction process in atomic structures. The results reveal that as the simulated system's temperature increases, the friction effect on the simulated matrix increases. As the velocity of the target structure increases, the contact time between the atomic structures decreases. Moreover, as the maximum force applied to the target metal matrix decreases, it leads to a decrease in the mobility and the maximum temperature in the atomic structures.
