Equilibrium strategy based policy shifts towards the integration of wind power in spot electricity markets: A perspective from China

Tingting Liu et al.

Summary: This study examined the effects of different market rules on wind power producer behavior to identify policy implications for a renewable-friendly spot market. Through a case study, it was found that more relaxed bidding regulations could incentivize wind producers, imbalance pricing settings influence market results and producer revenues, and increased wind penetration could lead to lower spot prices and power generation costs. New policy directions are needed for the development of China's renewable-friendly electricity markets.

Government corruption, market segmentation and renewable energy technology innovation: Evidence from China

Siyu Ren et al.

Summary: Government corruption and market segmentation have significant negative effects on renewable energy technology innovation, while the improvement of market segmentation can mitigate the impact of corruption on technology innovation. A higher level of corruption exacerbates the negative impact of market segmentation on technology innovation, and a deeper market segmentation increases the restraining effect of corruption on technology innovation.

Does energy consumption reinforce environmental pollution? Evidence from emerging Asian economies

Rajesh Sharma et al.

Summary: The study found that the interaction between energy and linear per capita income significantly increases carbon emissions in the long term, but this effect weakens at higher income levels. The interaction between energy and financial development has a negative but insignificant impact on carbon emissions.

Forecasting Chinese CO2 emission using a non-linear multi-agent intertemporal optimization model and scenario analysis

Haitao Xu et al.

Summary: This study forecasts China's carbon dioxide emissions accurately using the NL-MIOM model and identifies technical progress as the main factor in reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The predictions show that China's carbon dioxide emissions will peak in 2032, 2029, or 2027 under different scenarios.
