Nucleation and growth mechanism of cuprous oxide electrodeposited on ITO substrate

Jihane Bahar et al.

Summary: The electrodeposition mechanisms of Cu2O on ITO were investigated using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry methods. The results showed that Cu2O electrodeposition occurs through cathodic reduction and is a quasi-reversible reaction controlled by the diffusion of copper ions. The deposition mechanism on ITO substrate follows an instantaneous three-dimensional nucleation controlled by diffusion.

Characterization of Bi2Se3prepared by electrodeposition

M. Khadiri et al.

Summary: The Bi(2)Se(3) compound was deposited catholically under potential control from a mixture solution of equimolar SeO(2) and BiCl3, resulting in films grown on FTO substrates. The growth kinetics depended on the applied potential, with suitable Se/Bi ratio corresponding to the Bi(2)Se(3) structure achieved at -250 mV vs. SCE. X-ray and Raman analyses confirmed the formation of rhombohedral Bi(2)Se(3) at specific applied potentials. The obtained films exhibited n-type semiconductor behavior with carrier concentration varying with applied potential.

Morphology and seebeck coefficients of electrodeposited Bi2Se3 films grown onto Au(111)/Si substrates

Rasin Ahmed et al.

Summary: The polymorphism of Bi2Se3 allows for tunability in its electrical, thermal, and optical properties. By fabricating a mixture of orthorhombic and rhombohedral structures, materials engineering can optimize the properties of Bi2Se3. The thickness-dependent Seebeck effect in Bi2Se3 films is related to the transition from pure rhombohedral to a mixture of orthorhombic and rhombohedral phases.

Comparative study of nucleation and growth mechanism of cobalt electrodeposited on ITO substrate in nitrate and chloride electrolytes

J. Bahar et al.

Summary: A comparative study was conducted on the electrochemical deposition of cobalt on tin-doped indium oxide (ITO) substrate using electrochemical techniques in nitrate and chloride electrolytes. The results showed that cobalt deposition at a negative potential in both electrolytes was diffusion-controlled, with different nucleation mechanisms observed in nitrate and chloride solutions. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed a hexagonal crystal structure for the cobalt deposited on ITO substrate regardless of the electrolyte composition.
