Enhancing interfacial charge transfer in mesoporous MoS2/CdS nanojunction architectures for highly efficient visible-light photocatalytic water splitting

CoP imbedded g-C3N4 heterojunctions for highly efficient photo, electro and photoelectrochemical water splitting

Summary: Nanorod-like CoP nanoparticles were synthesized via gas-solid reaction from different precursors of Co(OH)(2) and Co3O4, then embedded into g-C3N4 nanosheets to form intimate heterojunctions. The resulting 0.5% CoP-CN exhibited superior activity in photocatalytic water splitting processes, with reduced over-potentials, more negative photo-reductive potentials, boosted interfacial charge transfer efficiency, and higher solar to hydrogen efficiency. The design of efficient CoP-based heterojunctions on covalent organic framework shows promise for direct water splitting applications utilizing solar energy.

Co2P nanosheet cocatalyst-modified Cd0.5Zn0.5S nanoparticles as 2D-0D heterojunction photocatalysts toward high photocatalytic activity

Summary: A novel Co2P(8) nanosheet cocatalyst was successfully synthesized and used to enhance the photocatalytic H-2 generation performance of Cd0.5Zn0.5S nanoparticles, resulting in significant improvements in carrier recombination rate and overpotential reduction for H+. The introduction of the Co2P(8) nanosheet cocatalyst led to a high H-2 evolution rate of 68.02 mmol g(-1)h(-1) and a 30.1% apparent quantum efficiency at 420 nm, approximately 103 times higher than that of bare CZS.

Cu3P@CoO core-shell heterostructure with synergistic effect for highly efficient hydrogen evolution

Anchoring Zn0.5Cd0.5S solid solution onto 2D porous Co-CoO nanosheets for highly improved photocatalytic H2 generation

M/TiO2 (M = Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn) catalysts for photocatalytic hydrogen production under UV and visible light irradiation

Summary: Low-cost M/TiO2 semiconductor catalysts were prepared by impregnating five different first row transition metals on a commercial titania support, with Cu/TiO2 showing the best photocatalytic activity for hydrogen production under both UV and visible light. Ni/TiO2 and Co/TiO2 also exhibited significant photocatalytic activity under UV light. The Cu/TiO2 catalyst was characterized by TEM and XPS measurements, showing the dispersion of copper species on TiO2 and the oxidation-reduction process during the hydrogen production reaction. Impregnated TiO2 showed higher H-2 production rates compared to non-impregnated TiO2, making Cu/TiO2 a cost-effective alternative to Pt/TiO2 for hydrogen production.
