Right ventricular wall dissection is a rare condition that can lead to poor clinical outcomes. We presented the case of a 68-year-old patient with acute myocardial infarction, who was diagnosed with right ventricular wall dissection through ventriculography. Surgical intervention involved excision of the infarcted myocardium and repair of the ventricular septal defect using a two-patch technique.
Right ventricular wall dissection is extremely rare and can result in dismal clinical outcomes. We report a 68-year-old patient who presented with acute myocardial infarction and was found to have right ventricular wall dissection by ventriculography. At surgery, the infarcted myocardium was excised, and a two-patch technique was used to repair the ventricular septal defect.
