Pulsed Townsend measurement of electron swarm parameters in C4F7N-CO2 and C4F7N-N2 mixtures as eco-friendly insulation gas

Boya Zhang et al.

Summary: C4F7N is a promising alternative to SF6 due to its low environmental impact and excellent electrical performance. In this study, we established an experimental setup and physical model to obtain electron swarm parameters in C4F7N and its mixtures with CO2 and N-2. The results showed that C4F7N exhibited good synergism with CO2 and N-2, making it suitable for discharge modeling.

Electron swarm parameters and dielectric strength of C5F10O and its mixtures with CO2 and dry air

Mai Hao et al.

Summary: Perfluoroketone C5F10O is a potential alternative to SF6 with extremely low global warming potential. Experimental results show that pure C5F10O has good electrical insulation properties and exhibits a synergistic effect when mixed with CO2 and dry air, particularly with air.
