Hierarchical CoFe2O4@PPy hollow nanocubes with enhanced microwave absorption

Summary: In this work, hierarchically hollow CoFe2O4/polypyrrole nanocubes with enhanced electromagnetic characteristics for MW absorption were fabricated. The electromagnetic characteristics can be adjusted by regulating the proportion of polypyrrole. The outcomes demonstrate that the as-prepared composites have outstanding MW absorbing ability and are expected to be potential MW absorbers for extensive applications.

Synthesis and microwave absorption performance of layered hard carbon embedded with ZnO nanoparticles

Summary: C-based microwave absorbers, such as hard carbon-based composites, have been studied for over 80 years and show promise as advanced high-performance microwave absorbers. However, little research has been done on the microwave absorption properties of hard carbon-based composites. In this study, composites composed of layered hard carbon embedded with ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized and found to exhibit excellent microwave absorption properties, which could offer a new insight for the design of high-performance microwave absorbers.

Summary: Manufacturing microwave absorbers with controllable microstructure is of continuous interest, as shown in the study where cobalt hexacyanoferrate submicrocubes with different structures were obtained through adjusting reaction solvents. The results highlight the importance of morphology and structure in enhancing microwave absorption properties, with the optimal absorption performance reaching -73.63 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.0 GHz for the CoFe@C submicrocubes with mesoporous structure.

The fabricated CAF-rGO/epoxy nanocomposite exhibits excellent microwave absorption performance under low filler content and small matching thickness conditions.

Excellent microwave absorption performances achieved by optimizing core@shell structures of Fe3O4@1T/2H-MoS2 composites

Summary: Fe3O4@1T/2H-MoS2 nanocomposites with core@shell structures were successfully fabricated and the electromagnetic parameters and microwave absorption performances were found to be influenced by the regulation of Fe3O4 contents.
