Predictive Tracking Under Persisten Disturbances and Data Errors Using H2 FIR Approach

Yuriy Shmaliy et al.

Summary: This article presents a robust predictor for industrial processes that ensures performance even under unspecified impacts and data errors. The predictor is tested in predictive tracking of a moving robot using ultrawideband technology, and it is found to be more robust than other predictors in various noise conditions.

A Novel H2 Approach to FIR Prediction Under Disturbances and Measurement Errors

Jorge Ortega-Contreras et al.

Summary: A novel approach for H-2 FIR prediction and biased-constrained suboptimal H-2 FIR filtering algorithm are proposed. The performance of the H-2-OUFIR predictor is investigated and compared with Kalman and unbiased FIR predictors.

Sparse Sensing and Optimal Precision: An Integrated Framework for H2/H∞ Optimal Observer Design

Vedang M. Deshpande et al.

Summary: This letter proposes a method to determine the optimal sensor precision and observer gain to achieve specified accuracy in state estimates, parameterizing the scaling of exogenous inputs corresponding to sensor noise to achieve sparseness. The optimization is conducted with constraints guaranteeing specified accuracy in state estimates, defined in terms of H-2 or H-infinity norms of the error dynamics. The results are applied to the linearized longitudinal model of an F-16 aircraft.
