Distributed Dynamic Event-Triggered Control for Euler-Lagrange Multiagent Systems With Parametric Uncertainties

Ran Cao et al.

Summary: This article investigates the distributed dynamic event-triggered control of networked Euler-Lagrange systems with unknown parameters. By utilizing the designed control algorithm, the leaderless consensus problem and containment problem are solved, and the estimations of unknown parameters are updated with an adaptive updating law. Simulation results show that the proposed method can increase the average lengths of event intervals and does not affect the time of achieving consensus/containment and the steady-state control performance.

ELM-Based Adaptive Faster Fixed-Time Control of Robotic Manipulator Systems

Miaomiao Gao et al.

Summary: This article addresses the problem of fast fixed-time tracking control for robotic manipulator systems subject to model uncertainties and disturbances. A novel faster nonsingular fixed-time sliding mode (FNFTSM) surface is developed to ensure faster convergence rate, and an extreme learning machine (ELM) algorithm is utilized to suppress the negative influence of system uncertainties and disturbances. The proposed control scheme combines fixed-time stable theory and the ELM learning technique, enabling adaptive fixed-time sliding mode control without knowing any information of system parameters.

Finite-time anti-saturation control for Euler-Lagrange systems with actuator failures

Bing Huang et al.

Summary: This paper presents two finite-time control strategies for stabilizing Euler-Lagrange systems with actuator failures. By combining sliding mode technology and adaptive method, these control architectures force the system states towards the origin within a finite time. The first controller assumes exact information of the disturbance and actuator faults, while the second controller uses adaptive control laws to estimate unknown parameters for fault-tolerance and robustness. The boundedness of the output is proven using the properties of EL systems and hyperbolic tangent functions.

Zhi-Ye Zhao et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the problem of robust fixed-time trajectory tracking control for a class of nonlinear Euler-Lagrange systems with exogenous disturbances and uncertain dynamics. A neural network-based adaptive estimation algorithm is used to approximate the continuous uncertain dynamics, while an adaptive fixed-time sliding mode control law is proposed to remedy the negative influence of uncertain dynamics and exogenous disturbances. The efficiency of the developed NN-based adaptive fixed-time control strategy is validated through simulation results.

Prescribed Performance Control for Multiagent Systems via Fuzzy Adaptive Event-Triggered Strategy

Lili Zhang et al.

Summary: This article discusses the prescribed performance control problem for multiagent systems involving the state triggering and the controller output triggering simultaneously. A new barrier Lyapunov function is developed with considering the characteristics of multiagent systems, and a fuzzy adaptive event-triggered control protocol is proposed by the backstepping procedure. It guarantees that the consensus tracking error converges to a predefined region of the origin in a preset finite time while ensuring that all other closed-loop signals remain bounded without the Zeno behavior.

Chattering analysis for Lipschitz continuous sliding-mode controllers

Carlos Arturo Martinez-Fuentes et al.

Summary: In this article, an analysis of chattering in systems driven by Lipschitz continuous sliding-mode controllers (LCSMC) is performed using the describing function approach. Theoretical predictions and simulations show that LCSMC may induce fast-oscillations of smaller amplitude and average power compared to the supertwisting controller (STC). The level of chattering with LSV-LCSMC could be smaller than TSV-LCSMC, and the dynamics of LSV-LCSMC cannot be arbitrarily fast for practical stability, unlike TSV-LCSMC.
