Heat and mass transfer of triple diffusive convection in viscoelastic liquids under internal heat source modulations

S. Noor Arshika et al.

Summary: This study investigated the influence of sinusoidal and nonsinusoidal waveforms of internal heat source modulation on triple diffusive convection in viscoelastic liquids. Nonlinear analysis using Fourier series representation was conducted to derive expressions for heat and mass transfer characteristics. Results showed that internal heat source enhances heat transfer but diminishes mass transfer, while heat sink has the opposite effect.

Significance of radiative magnetohydrodynamic flow of suspended PEG based ZrO2 and MgO2 within a conical gap

S. Mamatha Upadhya et al.

Summary: The purpose of this study is to investigate the flow and thermal management of hybrid nanofluid within a conical gap. The results show that rotating disk and stationary cone exhibit higher temperature field for increasing radiation and magnetic parameters. Additionally, an increase in these parameters and other variables leads to higher Nusselt number at the cone surface. Desired cooling can be achieved by keeping the cone fixed and the disk rotating.

A Group Theoretic Analysis of Mutual Interactions of Heat and Mass Transfer in a Thermally Slip Semi-Infinite Domain

Khalil Ur Rehman et al.

Summary: This article utilizes group theoretic analysis to obtain a new set of Lie group transformations for the non-linear differential systems governing mass and heat transfer in thermally magnetized non-Newtonian fluid flow. The effects of heat sink, heat source, and chemical reactions are considered in the energy and concentration equations. The symmetry analysis enables numerical computations of surface quantities for various scenarios, such as permeable/non-permeable surfaces, thermal slip/non-slip flows, magnetized/non-magnetized flows, and chemically reactive/non-reactive flows. The transformed partial differential systems are solved numerically using the shooting method and Runge-Kutta scheme, and the results are presented graphically and in tabular form. The study reveals that the heat transfer rate increases in both thermal slip and non-slip cases, while the skin friction coefficient decreases with increasing Weissenberg number in the magnetized field.

Three-dimensional magnetized slip flow of Carreau non-Newtonian fluid flow through conduction and radiative chemical reaction

S. G. Kumar et al.

Summary: This work demonstrates the behavior of an electrically conducting three-dimensional non-Newtonian Carreau fluid induced by bidirectional movement of a sheet. Viscous heating, radiation, and chemical reactions are considered in the study, and numerical simulations using MATLAB are used to analyze the velocity, temperature, and species distribution. The results show the impact of different factors on the fluid properties and provide insights into the behavior of shear-thinning and shear-thickening fluids.

A computational study of the triple-diffusive nonlinear convective nanoliquid flow over a wedge under convective boundary constraints

P. M. Patil et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the triple-diffusive nonlinear combined convective nanoliquid flow at a wedge with convective boundary constraints and viscous dissipation. Nonlinear coupled partial differential equations with boundary constraints are used to model the flow problem, which are then solved using the Quasilinearization technique and implicit finite difference approximation. The findings suggest that higher Schmidt number values decrease the mass diffusivity of liquid oxygen compared to liquid hydrogen, and increasing Biot number values enhance the magnitude of energy transfer rate.

Heat generation/absorption effect on MHD flow of hybrid nanofluid over bidirectional exponential stretching/shrinking sheet

Nurul Amira Zainal et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the impact of hybrid nanofluid on heat generation/absorption effects through mathematical analysis, finding that the volume fraction of nanoparticle and magnetic parameter can improve the skin friction coefficient, and the intensity of the suction parameter increases heat transfer rate while heat generation reduces it. The results had dual solutions and led to stability analysis implementation.

Stagnation-point flow and heat transfer over stretchable plates and cylinders with an oncoming flow: Exact solutions

Mustafa Turkyilmazoglu

Summary: This paper investigates the stagnation point of oncoming flow impinging on a stretchable flat plate or a circular cylinder, with exact solutions targeted for both momentum and thermal fields. The identified analytical solutions contribute further exact solutions to the Navier-Stokes and energy equations. Findings reveal that stretching has a suppressing effect on the axial velocity and temperature distributions, while the character of flow impingement is closely adjusted by the relevant physical parameters. Heat transfer rates from the surfaces in both flow geometries are enhanced by the action of walls, with more cooled surfaces in the presence of wall suction.

S. Bilal et al.

Summary: The main goal of this study is to investigate the behavior of mixed convective Jeffrey nanoliquid flowing over an exponentially stretching sheet using radiative energy flux, non-uniformly heated source/sink, slip boundary condition, and modified Arrhenius energy function. The governing physical expressions are converted into similar ODEs and solved using shooting technique. The results show that in opposing flow cases, there are higher temperature and concentration profiles compared to assisting flow and forced convection cases.
