Antisintering Pd1 Catalyst for Propane Direct Dehydrogenation with In Situ Active Sites Regeneration Ability

Mi Peng et al.

Summary: Atomically dispersed Pd catalysts supported on annealed nanodiamond exhibit superior activity and stability in propane direct dehydrogenation, with better resistance to coke formation. The high dispersion of Pd species in the catalyst is well-preserved during the reaction, leading to significantly improved performance compared to cluster/particle catalysts at high-reaction temperatures. This work provides deeper insights into designing highly dispersed metal catalysts with in situ regeneration of active sites in high-temperature catalytic reactions.

Effect of chalcogen (S, Se and Te) surface additives on the dehydrogenation of a liquid organic hydrogen carrier system, octahydroindole-indole, on a Pt (111) surface

C. N. M. Ouma et al.

Summary: Research demonstrates that sulfur and selenium as surface additives can effectively enhance the catalytic activity of Pt (1 1 1) surface for the dehydrogenation of LOHC systems, while the role of tellurium is relatively weaker. The study results show that different species of sulfur, selenium, and tellurium surface additives can lead to the dehydrogenation of octahydroindole to indole.

Preparation of Pt supported on mesoporous Mg-Al oxide catalysts for efficient dehydrogenation of methylcyclohexane

Kui Wu et al.

Summary: In this study, Pt supported on Mg-Al oxide catalysts were prepared to enhance the hydrogen evolution rate in the dehydrogenation of methylcyclohexane (MCH). The effects of the co-precipitation reaction time during the preparation of Mg-Al hydrotalcite on their structural properties were studied, showing increased pore diameter and Pt dispersion with prolonged reaction time. The resultant catalysts exhibited high activity and stability in the dehydrogenation process.

Atomically dispersed metal catalysts on nanodiamond and its derivatives: synthesis and catalytic application

Xiaowen Chen et al.

Summary: Atomically dispersed metal catalysts (ADMCs), including single atom catalysts (SACs) and atomically dispersed clusters, show remarkable catalytic performance in reactions. Nanodiamond (ND) and its derivatives (NDDs) are promising supports for stabilizing highly active ADMCs. The tunable surface properties of NDDs enable ADMCs to exhibit unique selectivity and extended lifetime in reactions.

Structure-Property Relationships of Pt-Sn Nanoparticles Supported on Al2O3 for the Dehydrogenation of Methylcyclohexane

Kazumasa Murata et al.

Summary: The activity and durability of Pt-Sn/Al2O3 catalysts in the MCH dehydrogenation were found to decrease with an increase in the Sn/Pt ratio. Pt-Sn/Al2O3 catalyst with a Sn/Pt ratio of 2 exhibited the best performance. The dispersion of Pt decreased and structural changes from Pt-Sn clusters to intermetallic nanoparticles were observed with increasing Sn/Pt ratio.
