It is widely acknowledged that without energy storage and reliable additional energy generation, such as hydrogen energy storage and nuclear energy generation, it is impossible to completely eliminate the need for gas, oil, and coal combustion in order to keep prices low and avoid energy scarcity while transitioning to net zero.
It is appearing clear that with the further uptake of wind and solar photovoltaic energy generation, lacking energy storage and additional reliable energy generation, it is impossible to completely avoid the combustion of gas, oil, and coal, to keep prices low, and avoid energy scarcity. The only solution to move towards net zero with cheap and abundant energy is to progress in hydrogen energy storage and nuclear energy generation.
