Multi-layer hierarchical optimisation of greenhouse climate setpoints for energy conservation and improvement of crop yield

Low humidity air and radiofrequency wave based sequential drying of Rosmarinus officinalis for improvement of quality

Summary: The study explored the sequential combination of low humidity air and radiofrequency waves for drying rosemary to improve product quality. The LHA + RF sequential approach significantly reduced drying time and energy consumption compared to other drying methods, while producing a product with bright green color and higher content of essential oil, ascorbic acid, polyphenols, carnosic acid, and rosmarinic acid. The results demonstrate the potential application of sequential drying using LHA + RF for energy-efficient and accelerated drying of heat-sensitive herbs with better preservation of phytochemicals and volatile compounds.

Adapting H-infinity controller for the desired reference tracking of the sphere position in the maglev process

Summary: In this study, an adapting H-infinity controller is introduced to combine adapting and H-infinity strategies for the desired reference tracking of the sphere position in the Maglev process. The adapting strategy is used for unknown dynamics estimation, while the H-infinity strategy is used for desired reference tracking, satisfying error convergence and H-infinity criterion using Lyapunov technique. Two simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the method for desired reference tracking of the sphere position in the Maglev process.
