Summary: The structure of REP-I, a polysaccharide fraction from radish leaves, has been determined to contain various monosaccharides, with RG-I as the main component. The main chain consists of repeating [->2)-Rhap-(1->4)-GalpA-(1->] linkages, and there are three side chains present. REP-I's immunostimulatory activity may be attributed to this RG-I structure.
