Summary: The incidence of intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation is high in the first 12 months after Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK), especially due to steroid-induced IOP elevation. Patients with preexisting glaucoma and specific preoperative diagnoses are at increased risk for IOP elevation and post-DMEK glaucoma.
