Electrochemical Detection of Morphine in Untreated Human Capillary Whole Blood

Summary: Disposable single-use electrochemical sensor strips were successfully used for quantitative detection of small concentrations of morphine in untreated capillary whole blood. The sensors, with SWCNT networks and Nafion coatings, showed promise for rapid point-of-care testing for morphine, with high selectivity and compatibility with industrial-scale processes.
