Wenjun Zhu et al.

Summary: This study identified 11 triterpenoids in Wolfiporia cocos and inferred the potential biosynthetic pathway from lanostane to pachymic acid. Additionally, a key gene WcSOAT involved in the biosynthetic pathway was identified. The study showed that silence of the WcSOAT gene resulted in reduced pachymic acid production, while overexpression of the gene increased pachymic acid production.

Yue Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, an integrated mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) and untargeted metabolomics method was used to investigate the metabolic regulation of honeybees in response to stereoisomeric dinotefuran pesticides. The results indicated that S-(+)-dinotefuran had higher toxicity than R-(-)-dinotefuran, affecting multiple metabolic pathways and energy metabolism in honeybees. The findings provide new perspectives for the development and applications of pure chiral agrochemicals.

Ganoderic acid A inhibits ox-LDL-induced THP-1-derived macrophage inflammation and lipid deposition via Notch1/PPARγ/CD36 signaling

Tao Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the inhibitory mechanism of Ganoderic acid A (GAA) on inflammation and lipid deposition in human monocyte cells, showing that GAA can suppress ox-LDL-induced inflammation and oxidative stress, as well as reduce total cholesterol and lipid accumulation levels. With the overexpression of Notch1 and the activation of PPAR gamma, the effects of GAA on alleviating inflammation, oxidative stress, and lipid accumulation were weakened.
