Cadmium exposure and risk of diabetes and prediabetes: A systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis

This study further investigates this relationship and the interaction with genetic variations in acrylamide-metabolizing genes. Interaction patterns with certain genetic variations may indicate causality, but further studies are needed for confirmation.
